Benefits & Module Description
Do you have an Adobe Commerce online store and want to send newsletters to customers?
With CleverReach’s Adobe Commerce email marketing integration, the CleverReach email marketing tool connects directly to your Adobe Commerce online store. Through this integration, all important data is continuously and automatically updated and supplemented in both directions. This means that data is synchronized in both directions—regularly and in real time. Address changes or unsubscribes from the newsletter are transferred from CleverReach to your Adobe Commerce store, and activities in Adobe Commerce are transferred to CleverReach.
Initial Transfer and Creation of Your Recipient List
As part of the installation, a complete recipient list is automatically created, complete with various data fields, segments, and tags. Use this helpful data and these tags to send personalized emails. Your customers will receive offers that truly interest them. You’ll benefit frommore opens, more clicks, andmore conversions —and thanks to email automation, this can even happen completely automatically! With the blocklist feature, you can block unwanted or problematic recipients before importing your email lists into CleverReach. This keeps your recipient list free of invalid throwaway addresses or email addresses generated by marketplaces like eBay. All entries on the blocklist are automatically ignored or deleted during imports and mailings —and your recipient list remains unaffected.
Before your first import of Adobe Commerce data, you can decide for yourself who will be actively transferred: only newsletter recipients, paying customers, other contacts, or all of them. The records are created in CleverReach as active recipients in the “Adobe Commerce” group. They are assigned so-called “special tags”:
- Newsletter subscribers → Subscriber: Allpeople who have signed up for your newsletter.
- Purchasing customer → Buyer: All people who have made a purchase in your store, including guest shoppers.
- Contacts → (Other) contacts:All people who have NOT subscribed to the newsletter OR made a purchase. Essentially, all other people in your database.
The settings configured during installation can also be changed later via the extension settings.
Important: All data must have been collected in accordance with the GDPR!
The following Adobe Commerce store data for your recipients is transferred:
- Newsletter subscriptions and unsubscribes(recipients are created with the corresponding newsletter status “yes” or “no”)
- Data fields: Information such as first name, last name, street, ZIP code, city, state/province, country, company, store, etc., is created asdata fields.
- The following order/purchase information is also created asdata fieldsin the recipient record: Last order date, number of orders, total spending across all orders
- Purchase information: Products, sales, order number, SKU, product name, price, currency, number of orders, total spending across all orders…
- Product information for your Adobe Commerce items, such as image, text, price, sizes, material…
- Product tags from Adobe Commerce—such as product category, manufacturer/brand, and attributes like color, etc.—are transferred to CleverReach and assigned to the respective recipient record
Thanks to real-time synchronization, your customer and product data are always up to date. You can find detailed instructions on the tagging process in the Help Center article“Special Tags and the Tag-Based Email Creation Process in Our Integrations.”
Would you like some examples of how to use the data fields?
- Using the“Number of Orders”data field, you can filter by how many orders a customer has placed. You can specifically target frequent buyers who, for example, have placed more than 50 orders.
- With the“Total Order Spend”field, you can filter your customers by their spending. Send special offers to those who spend a lot and have purchased more than 1,000 euros in your store.
- The“Last Order Date”can be used for email marketing automation to re-engage buyers.
Additional helpful features of the Adobe Commerce–CleverReach extension
- Integrating Content into Your Newsletter
Use the product search feature to display your store’s products—including images, text, price, size, and material—in your email. You can also include text and dynamic content from your website in the newsletter - Sign-up form
During installation, a newsletter sign-up form is automatically created in your CleverReach account, which you can quickly and easily integrate into your store. For more information, see the Help Center article“Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) Extension—Insert Double-Opt-In Forms & Use the Feature.” - Tag-Based Email Creation Process
Special tags make segmentation particularly straightforward: Not only are the special tags created automatically, but you can also select them directly during the email creation process to choose recipient tags (e.g., the “Newsletter Recipient” tag). - Clear Reporting
Take advantage of our intuitive conversion tracking (with our Connect link extension) to analyze orders and revenue generated by your email campaigns. Keep track of everything—even with multiple stores—using multi-store attribution. With conversion tracking reports, you’ll always know what your customers love. Use this valuable data to create personalized offers that your customers truly want. Enjoy more opens, more clicks, and more conversions! - Automatic Blocklist Check Before Importing Recipients
Ourblocklistfeature protects your recipient list from unwanted or problematic email addresses, such as those provided during sales on marketplaces. Not only should these addresses not be contacted in the first place, but they also unnecessarily bloat your recipient list. With our integration, you can blocklist individual addresses as well as entire domains. - Remind Abandoned Cart Customers
With the CleverReach newsletter plugin for Adobe Commerce, you can use automation to send your customers a reminder email after they abandon their cart. There’s a feature for this that simply needs to be activated. Afterward, all abandoned carts are displayed in a very user-friendly way on an overview page. You can find detailed instructions on our “Abandoned Cart” feature in the Help Center article“Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) Extension—Contact Abandoned Cart Users via Newsletter.” Read more about abandoned carts in the article “Abandoned Cart Email Automation: A Powerful Tool for Driving Revenue” in our Push magazine.
