Shopify Email List

Grow your Shopify Store’s Success with Email Lists

Email addresses are the key to your customers and to more success. Your email list is your key box. With their opt-in to receive your email, your Shopify customers have virtually given you the key to their mailboxes.

Email lists with the email addresses of your existing and prospective customers are the foundation for your email marketing and for more sales in your Shopify Online Store. Therefore, you should focus on newsletter subscription and make the opt-in as easy as possible

Why do I Need an Email List of my Shopify Customers?

Comprehensive and high quality email lists are a must have for your Shopify online store. Thanks to emails, you can communicate directly with your customers and keep reminding them of your products. Newsletters are more important than ever. Because in times of real content floods, very little remains stuck in our heads. And in the worst case, we can’t even remember the content that has just popped up in a pop-up or video before our eyes. Snackable content is also very often forgettable content.

It’s different with your newsletter. Because your subscribers have deliberately signed up for your newsletter via an opt-in. This means that they are generally interested in your products, special offers etc. in your Shopify online store. Your email list is the direct way to more customer loyalty and more success. The CleverReach® integration makes the newsletter subscription in your Shopify online shop particularly easy.  During the connection between CleverReach® and Shopify, the plugin automatically creates an email list in CleverReach Group, which is usually called “Shopify Group”. Then you can get started.

How you can Use your Email List for Targeted Email Marketing

With our CleverReach® email marketing tool, you can provide your customers with relevant information and offers by assigning tags and segmenting your customers into different customer groups. Sounds like a lot of work, adding appropriate tags manually to each recipient. But here’s the good news: The plugin relieves you of this work and automatically assigns tags, which it attaches to the recipients. For example: Shopify-Group.newsletter

Segmentation enables you to identify the specific interests, purchasing behaviour or socio-demographic data of your customers and to take them into account for your email marketing and use them successfully. In this way you get different email lists, which you can then write to in a targeted manner and with more success.

How do Shopify Shop Owners get Email Addresses?

Simple: Don’t hide your newsletter subscription. This may sound a bit banal, but how often is the box “hidden” in the footer when you are willing to sign up for the newsletter? Be cleverer than many others and draw attention to your newsletter in as many places as possible on your website. You want your newsletter subscription to catch the eye quickly. Shopify online stores in particular have many opportunities to place their newsletter subscriptions. From the start page with pop-ups to special offers or sweepstakes, to subpages to specific product categories to the shopping cart. Don’t make your customers think and don’t make them search. If you take these two points to heart, you have your email opt-ins almost in your pocket or the email addresses in your Shopify email list.

  • Make the newsletter subscription appealing to the user

Create incentives, such as tempting discount coupons or attractive referral bonuses, and make the email opt-in as easy as possible. Communicate the benefits for the subscriber. What do they get from subscribing to your newsletter? What can they expect from you? Opt- in and find out. Your subscriber should look forward to the next newsletter when registering for it.

  • Keep the subscription process short

There are many ways to subscribe to the newsletter. No matter which way you choose: It should be simple and short. The registration process must not become an obstacle that has to be passed through with difficulty. Most of your users will break off and will not reach their destination. Make opt-in forms as simple as possible. Query only the most necessary data. This includes the email address, name and salutation. Please note that only the email address is mandatory.

Asking less means more success with new newsletter subscriptions. Your email list will probably grow faster than expected. You can always request further information at a later point in time and then use it efficiently for your segmentation.

  • Make the newsletter subscription transparent

Users have no problem sharing personal data in the email opt-in process as long as they know what it is being used for and that their data is secure. Tell your customers and potential customers that privacy is very important to you. When opting in, communicate the purpose for which you use the data, that it will of course not be passed on to third parties and that the newsletter subscriber can withdraw their consent to receive newsletters at any time.

  • Use newsletter forms for your newsletter subscription

Even if you do not necessarily have to use the double opt-in process, we recommend that you use it when registering for the newsletter. With double opt-in, the subscriber confirms their subscription to your newsletter. For this, they will receive a confirmation email from your Shopify Online Store with a confirmation link. This protects the user from spam messages. Shopify does not offer a double opt-in. But with the CleverReach® newsletter subscription form you can take advantage of the DOI. Because the double opt-in is also a wonderful opportunity to thank your subscribers for registering or to welcome them to the community. You might also use the double opt-in mail to tease your next newsletter.

If you wish to integrate the CleverReach® newsletter form, we advise you to consult an agency or programmer. However, we are in the process of simplifying and optimizing the process for Shopify customers.

Of course, subscription forms from third parties can also be integrated into your Shopify online store.
